Description
This year my Native Sweet Pecan trees average 12″- 20″. These are a mixed variety, allowing proper cross-pollination. Once a pecan begins to produce, it will bear nuts it’s entire lifespan – often 200-250 years. Good for pies, candies, food storage and are great food forest addition if you keep pigs, attract deer or like distracting squirrels from your bird feeders. These are great saplings, raised from seed – not cuttings. I ship in 48″ specialty boxes. These boxes require special handling as they make their way to you – they can’t always be packed on the next truck to leave the postal facility, and they may be held a few days longer at each location. To prepare for travel, I soak these trees in nutritious manure water, the, coat the roots in mud and wrap them in arbor paper / sealed in plastic. It’s a good process that has been successful for the thousands of bare root trees that I have personally packed and shipped.
